ROC Joliet will take over management of the Joliet Country Club on Nov. 1.
The Lisle-based real estate investment company has owned the golf course and clubhouse at the Joliet Country Club since 2016, the club announced in a news release.
Members through the club board continued to act as manager since then. The new arrangement will provide ROC with management duties as the club continues to operate, according to the release.
"Our members and the board determined that for the long-term viability of the club it was in our best interest to have ROC also manage the club," club President Pat Mudron said. "This will [ensure] that this long-time, very important asset of our community will continue in existence, and that our first-class golf course and clubhouse will continue to serve our members and our guests."
ROC will announce specific plans at the members' meeting in November. The club is scheduling Christmas parties for December as well as 2019 golf outings.
The company has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate business.
The news release included a statement from ROC that stated, "The Joliet Country Club has been long regarded as one of the premier courses on the south side, and we look forward to working with the members and the community to growing membership and promoting a positive club experience."
