Police charged man with disorderly conduct, battery

A Romeoville man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, aggravated assault and domestic battery, according to the Will County jail log.

At 3:33 a.m. Saturday, Christopher S. Rossetti, 42, of the 200 block of Pell Avenue in Romeoville, was taken to the Will County jail on charges of disorderly conduct, aggravated assault on public property and domestic battery causing physical contact.

Romeoville police, who arrested Rossetti, did not return requests for comment Monday to provide more information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

His bond was set at $5,000, of which he’ll need 10 percent to post bail.

He was scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Saturday, and he is scheduled to appear in court again for a hearing on his bond Tuesday.

Rossetti had a series of traffic incidents prior to the alleged issue over the weekend.

On Nov. 27, 2001, Shorewood police arrested Rossetti on a charge of disregarding a stop sign. He was found guilty of the charge and ordered to pay a fine of $75. He failed to make the payment until Dec. 12, 2003, according to court records. Romeoville police had previously arrested him in 2001 on a charge of disregarding a traffic control device. He pleaded guilty to the charge on July 24, 2001. On Sept. 20, 1999, and Nov. 9, 1999, Rossetti was charged with driving between 15 to 20 miles per hour above the speed limit. He was found guilty of the charges.
