OHIO — Lois M. Anderson, 86, of Ohio, Ill., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at Heritage Health Care Center in Walnut.
Lois was born July 8, 1932, the daughter of Chauncey and Vida (Boehle) Robbins. She married William F. Anderson Jr. on Dec. 7, 1963, in Bensenville. He died Jan. 11, 2018.
Lois graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree, and taught home economics in Rock Falls and Walnut. She was also employed as the food service director at Walnut Manor and Heritage Square in Dixon.
Lois was an active member of Sodality and OCCW at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ohio.
Surviving are her children, William F. (Gina) Anderson III of Ottawa, Eric R. (Linda) Anderson of Churubusco, Ind., and Kate (Doug) Christensen of Newberg, Ore.; one sister, Yvonne Reynolds of Gladstone, Mo.; three brothers, Kenneth Robbins of Sterling, Dean (Alice) Robbins of Galt and Roger (Michelle) Robbins of Dixon; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ohio with the Rev. Thomas Shaw officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Ohio, Ill. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
