Sandra S. Foster

MENDOTA – Sandra S. (Streit) Foster, 70, of Mendota passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at her daughter’s house in Peru.

Sandra was born Aug. 17, 1948, in Clinton, Iowa, to Al and Lois (Sanders) Dierks. She married Richard Foster on Feb. 18, 1992, in Gig Harbor, Washington. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and had a great sense of humor. She was a great cook, especially her oyster stew, and loved eating sweet corn. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Dolly.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Mendota; her son, Jason (Lynn) Streit of Amboy; two daughters, Wendy (Daniel) Haacker of Elburn and Michele (Michael) Fusinatto of Peru; a stepson, Scott Foster of Chicago; stepdaughter, Amanda (Troy) Chaon of Hayward, Wisconsin; four brothers, Al (Pam) Dierks of Clinton, Tim Dierks of Spring Valley, Robert (Marlene) Milota of Davenport, Iowa, and Joe (Sandy) Milota of Spring Valley; one sister, Ruth (Roy) Eubanks of Fairfield, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a great-grandson; and sister-in-law, Sandi Milota.

She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Jon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., and a memorial service at 7 p.m. today at Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota with the Rev. Susan Presley officiating. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery in Maytown.
