Jeanette K. Koster

MONTICELLO, Wisc. – Jeannette K. Koster (formerly Jeannette K. Bruns, neé Jeannette K. Hinrichs), was welcomed home to the Lord on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. She was born on Oct. 2, 1940.

Jean’s strong faith carried her through her struggles and blessed her with a large and loving family. She was a talented artist, incredible cook and an avid gardener. She loved collecting antiques and reading books.

She is survived by her children, Bob (Lisa) Bruns, Beth (Jim) Jordan, Tim (Dee) Bruns and Dave (Shannon) Bruns; her sisters, Donna (Ken) Scott, Roslyn (Wayne) Frasu and Ronda Saunders; and her beloved sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Hinrichs, Susie Hinrichs, Angie Geiseman and Virginia Hinrichs.

Jean felt especially blessed by her nine grandchildren, Hannah, Ashley, Abbi, Adam, Aric, Claire, Niki, Katy and Krissy; along with seven great-grandchildren. She had a beloved dog, Tuffy.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Alva and Leo Hinrichs; stepfather, Donald McFadden; as well as her husbands, Robert Bruns, Dan Richmond and Wesley Koster; and her siblings, Alvin, Bob, Leola, Eileen, Dean, Dale, Pat, Diann and Donald.

Jean will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Brandon Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
