Kevin L. Powell

STERLING – Kevin L. Powell, 44, of Sterling, died at 7:11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

He was born July 24, 1974, in Galesburg, the son of Steven and Cindy (Lovitt) Powell. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Douglas Good, in the Galesburg area, and graduated from Galesburg High School. On April 9, 1999, he married Angie M. (Bland) Bethel in Sterling.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Angie Powell of Sterling; his two children, Chase Bethel and August Powell, both of Sterling; two stepchildren, Skyler Bethel and Jesse Bethel, both of Sterling; his father, Steven Powell of Tampa, Florida; his mother, Cindy Good of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Brayden Bethel and Olivia Bethel; and his siblings, David Powell, Steven Powell, Marilyn Powell, Bruce Good, Janet Good, and Douglas Good, all of Galesburg.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory in Knoxville. Cremation rites will be accorded.
