A 23-year-old Lake Barrington man has been arrested in connection with a car burglary, according to authorities.
Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched on Dec. 14 to the 28200 block of Harbor Drive in Lake Barrington on a report that electronics were stolen in a car burglary, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Highway Patrol deputies identified Hunter H. Grabowski, 23, of the 500 block of Beacon Drive, Lake Barrington, as a suspect.
Detectives said Grabowski was responsible for the Lake Barrington car burglary, and several others, according to the release. Grabowski allegedly sold the stolen electronics, and additional property – including a purse and a new PlayStation 4 – were found at Grabowski’s residence, according to authorities. Detectives later retrieved the sold electronics.
An arrest warrant was obtained on Friday for Grabowski on a burglary charge. Sheriff's deputies arrested him.
Grabowski in the Lake County Jail on $30,000 bail. He is next due in court at 9 a.m. on Friday.
Police continue to investigate whether Grabowski was involved in other car burglaries, according to the release.
