Prairie Grove to vote on removing village administrator

Prairie Grove trustees are expected to vote during a special meeting Wednesday night whether to remove the village administrator and treasurer, according to the village clerk and a meeting agenda.

Village Clerk Kim Minor confirmed the information Monday and directed further comment to the village attorney, David McArdle, who declined to comment.

The village's website lists William Beith as village administrator and treasurer.

The board also is scheduled to appoint a trustee as acting village president, according to the agenda.

On Wednesday, the board will go into executive session to discuss village personnel. The board then will vote on a separation agreement between the village and Beith, according to the meeting agenda. No additional information on the matter was posted online.

Village President David Robak and Beith could not be reached for comment Monday.

Officials will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Village Hall, 3125 Barreville Road.
