Why Friddle was selected: The Coalers senior posted a 9-0 record and helped his team to nine dual meet victories as they claimed the title of the 55-team Abe's Rumble in Springfield. The three-time state medalist and runnerup in 2018 has won all 25 of his matches this season for the 27-2 Coalers.

Herron: What do you like the most about wrestling?
Friddle: In wrestling, you put in the work and determine how successful that you can be, and that's what I really like.
Herron: What do you like most about this year's team?
Friddle: We have one of the hardest working teams that I've seen. Everyone is really working hard in the wrestling room.
Herron: What do you like most about competing for Coal City?
Friddle: We have a reputation and people know that we're always tough and are going to work hard. Our kids are tough and they're going to bring it to you.
Herron: What would you like to do in the future?
Friddle: I'm going to attend a four-year university and wrestle in college and major in Kinesiology.
Herron: Who's someone that you would you like to meet?
Friddle: Jordan Burroughs, who's an unbelievable role model.
Herron: Who's your favorite sports team and athlete?
Friddle: Chicago Cubs. Jordan Burroughs.
Herron: Do you have any pets?
Friddle: I have a yellow Lab named Brodie.
Herron: What's your favorite music and who's your favorite artist?
Friddle: A little pop, country and some R&B. Dan and Shay.
Herron: What's your favorite food and restaurant?
Friddle: Probably steak. Mustachio's Bar & Grill in Carbon Hill.

Friddle: Friends.
Herron: What do like to do in your free time?
Friddle: Play video games, social media and watching TV.

Friddle: Jamaica.
