Morris Hospital, Dwight services combine

MORRIS – Morris Hospital’s providers and services in Dwight will soon be available under one roof at the newly renovated Dwight Healthcare Center of Morris Hospital at 101 S. Prairie Ave.

Morris Hospital has consolidated its two Dwight offices to one location after the retirement of Dr. Michael Cichon and expansion and renovation of its Prairie Avenue medical facility, which officially re-opened Wednesday.

The $300,000 renovation took
12 weeks to complete and added
1,700 square feet of previously unused space within the 5,200-square-foot building.

As a result of the renovations and expansion, Dr. Jaynee Pendergast, moves from 103 S. John St. and joins Dr. Mark Passerman, Kathy Ulivi and Dr. Athar Saeed at the Prairie Avenue location.

The renovated medical office building has four additional exam rooms and 12 more parking spaces, a new registration area, enlarged doorways to better accommodate wheelchairs and more work space for staff.

“We are pleased to be able to bring our providers and services together in one location in Dwight,” said Pat Durkin, vice president of Ambulatory Services at Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers. “In addition to the improved operational efficiencies for Morris Hospital, we believe our patients will enjoy the appearance and amenities of the newly renovated facility, along with the enhanced delivery of care that will be provided to our patients.”

Once the transition to the Prairie Avenue office is completed, Durkin said the office at 103 S. John St. will officially close.

Serving patients at 26 locations, Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers includes the 89-bed Morris Hospital, as well as physician offices in Braidwood, Channahon, Coal City, Dwight,
