Praised by critics for the brilliant fusion of pop and classical music, the singing string quartet Well-Strung will star at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre.
The ensemble returns with music from its latest album, “Popssicle,” a news release stated. The classical musicians and vocalists put their own spin on the melodies of Mozart, Vivaldi, Rihanna, Adele and many others from the pop and classical realms.
The group is back by popular demand, according to concert organizers. The artists are Edmund Bagnell, first violin; Chris Marchant, second violin; Daniel Shevlin, cello; and Trevor Wadleigh, viola. Tickets cost $26 to $39. The venue is at 1399 W. Wilson St., Batavia. For tickets, visit bataviafineartscentre.org or call 630-937-8930.
Looking ahead, pianist-composer and Grammy nominee Jim Brickman will present a musical valentine at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8.
