Why Nork was selected: The Lincoln-Way West senior bowler captured top honors at the SWSC tournament both overall and in the Red Division after posting a 1,465 total in six games with a high game of 276 and that helped the Warriors to also claim the Red Division title with a 6,175 total.
Herald-News sports writer Curt Herron talked with Nork.
Herron: What do you like the most about bowling?
Nork: Probably the competition against all of the other schools and it makes it a lot more fun to try to get your high game in each and every game.
Herron: What do you like most about this year's team?
Nork: All of us get along really well, so it helps us work better as a team and that will help us throughout the postseason.
Herron: What do you like most about competing for Lincoln-Way West?
Nork: It's really nice since everybody is supportive of the sport and it helps us to compete better because the people here are behind us.
Herron: What would you like to do in the future?
Nork: I plan on going to Grand Valley State and I definitely want to major in Chemistry.
Herron: Who's your favorite sports team and athlete?
Nork: The Chicago White Sox and my favorite athlete is Jose Abreu.
Herron: Do you have any pets?
Nork: I have two dogs, a Brittany Spaniel named Sam and a Miniature Pinscher named Otis.
Herron: What's your favorite music and who's your favorite artist?
Nork: Country. Luke Bryan.
Herron: What's your favorite food and restaurant?
Nork: Ravioli. Gatto's Restaurant in New Lenox.
Herron: What's your favorite TV show?
Nork: The new show, 'Manifest'.
Herron: What do like to do in your free time?
Nork: If I'm not bowling, I'm usually at home and watching TV.
Herron: Where's the most interesting place you've been and where would you like to visit?
Nork: Cooperstown, New York. I'd like to visit Spain.
