Jeffrey R. Harrington

ROCK FALLS – Jeffrey R. Harrington, 64, of Rock Falls, died Monday, January 14, 2019, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

He was born on October 29, 1954, in Sterling, the son of Richard L. and Betty L. (Spielman) Harrington. He married Peggy L. Arthurs on December 29, 1975, in Sterling. Jeff was employed at the former National Manufacturing Co. for 39 years and at the time of his death worked at Charles O. Larson Co. in Rock Falls. Jeff also worked for the Leesman Farms in Rock Falls. He enjoyed traveling and checking out new places to eat.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy; his son, Shane (Kristy) Harrington of Dixon; his daughter, Christa (Greg) Bertolozzi of Rock Falls; his sister, Diana (Don) Handel of Harmon; his brother, Ron (Rick Rowsell) Harrington of Hillsdale, NY; and five grandchildren, Reise, Greta, Nora, Maddie and Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard A. Harrington.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 9-11 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
