Deana K. Duncan

STERLING – Deana K. Duncan, 62, of Sterling, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at her home.

She was born on December 8, 1956, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Charles and Lela (Cox) Smith. She married Ty Duncan on June 6, 2015.

Deana worked for Crest Foods for 12 years. She enjoyed shopping, doing crafts and traveling. Her favorite spots were visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and going to various beaches. Deana loved her family and her church family. She attended Greater Life Church in Dixon.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ty of Sterling; her children, Jason (Amy) Breeden of Ashton, Shawna (Jason) Snapp of Chana, Jennifer (Brad) Bridgeman of Dixon, and Wendie Breeden of Dixon and Dolan (Mimi) Duncan of Dixon; her sisters, Diane (Hartlan) Coats of Oklahoma, Carol Mannen of Rochelle, Sue (Robert) Cutrer of Alabama, Deb Worley of Oregon, Illinois, and Judy (Phil Schaneberg) Duncan of Rochelle; a brother, Bill (Rose) Foster of New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, Carson Breeden in infancy; and her parents, Lloyd and Lela Spencer.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26 at Greater Life Church, 1403 Hemlock Street in Dixon. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
