Patricia J. Anderson

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Beloved wife, mother and sister, Patricia J. (Lucas Bredberg) Anderson, 79, of Colorado Springs, CO and formerly of Dixon, IL, passed on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at her home.

She was born November, 13, 1939, in Alpha, Illinois.

Pat is survived by her husband, Edwin G. Anderson; two sisters, Linda (Lucas May) and (George) Hart and Mary (Lucas) and (Dick) Livingston; three children, Kandi Sue (Bredberg) Warning and (Jeff) Warning of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael Bredberg of Rock Falls, IL and Tina Marie (Bredberg) Janssen of Castle Pines, CO; one granddaughter, Beth Marie Warning of Leander, TX; two stepchildren, Melanie and Mike Anderson; and six step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Edna (Shephard) Lucas; a sister, Shirley (Lucas) and (Chester) Langebartels; and her first husband, Willis F. Bredberg.

Pat’s greatest loves were being a wife, mom and grandma. She was involved in the church, was a community volunteer, and loved gardening, shopping and square dancing.

While living in Dixon from 1962 until the late 1990s, Pat was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was part of Stephen’s Ministry. She volunteered at KSB Hospital in the physical therapy department, and worked as an operator at the Dixon Phone Company.

Pat was a successful businesswomen and owner of Lee County Title and Abstract Company until she sold it and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the late 1990s. She loved working with the community, friends at the court house and the relationships she made during this time.

Her celebration of life was on January 3, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. Pat fought a yearlong battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Since 2012, she had survived her home being burnt down and rebuilt in the Waldo Canyon fire and two different types of breast cancer. As always, she was an optimistic spark of hope and light to all who were in her presence. Pat continues to send her love to all her friends and family from heaven above.
