OHIO, Ill. — Barbara Ann Reuter, 70, of Ohio, Ill., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Barbara was born July 11, 1948, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Robert D. and Elaine (Shoobridge) Kirsch. She married Donald Reuter on April 16, 1966, in Warren, Mich., and was employed at Perry Memorial Hospital as a respiratory care practitioner for 14 years.
Barbara was a longtime member of the Ohio Library Board and enjoyed reading, painting, shopping, social media, spending time outdoors and going to Woodhaven.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Reuter of Ohio, Ill.; three sons, Robert (Brenda) Reuter of Ohio, Ill., Donald I. (Donna) Reuter of Ohio, Ill., and Mick Reuter of Wheeling; three sisters, Linda (Ken) Duffy of Citrus Heights, Calif., Marion (Jim Hammond) Lams of New Market, Tenn., and Debbie Kirsch of Michigan; one brother, Robert E. Kirsch of Blanchard, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Steven Reuter and Gary Reuter.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gene Vincent of the First Lutheran Church in Ohio officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Ohio Public Library.
