DUI arrest on Center Street
Plano police arrested Ronald Birmann, 54, of the 100 block of Poplar Street, Sandwich, after stopping the vehicle he was driving on Center Street at Clark Street at 8:57 p.m. Jan. 29. Police said Birmann was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Birmann later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.
Revoked license charge
Plano police arrested Canelario L. Gonzalez, 38, of the 200 block of North Cook Street, Plano, after stopping his vehicle in the area of Route 34 and Pence Street at 11:28 a.m. Jan. 30. Police said Gonzalez was charged with driving on a revoked license. He later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance, according to police.
Revoked license charge
Plano officers arrested Michael Fernschuss, 55, of the 1600 block of Suydam Road, Sandwich, on Feb. 1 at 8:21 p.m. on charges of driving on a revoked license, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after conducting a traffic stop in the area of Edward Street and Veronica Street. Fernschuss was released on the scene with a court date of March 4 at the Kendall County Courthouse.
Cannabis possession
Plano police arrested Kathleen Cruz, 26, of the 900 block of Fourth Avenue, Aurora, on a charge of possession of cannabis under 10 grams, after conducting a traffic stop in the area of South Hale and East South Street on Feb. 3 at 4:23 a.m. Cruz was placed under arrest and transported to the Plano Police Department, where she was cited for speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and possession of cannabis under 10 grams. Cruz was released on her own recognizance with a March 4 court date at the Kendall County Courthouse.
Active warrant arrest
Plano police arrested Jennifer Gutierrez, 36, of the 2800 block of Sarah Court, on two active warrants, after responding to a home in the 2800 block of Sarah Court on Feb. 4 at 7:25 p.m. Gutierrez was taken to the Kendall County Jail.
