Bailey Herr wins first championship

Bailey Herr won her first championship at the Tiger Town Wrestling Tournament in Princeton Sunday.

PRINCETON — The Putnam County Thundercats wrestled Feb. 10 in the Tiger Town Tanglers Invitational at Princeton High School.

Bailey Herr, 11, won her first championship, defeating Jacob Lynn (Timberwolves), Bryce Sundquist (Moline) and Kaleb Vernoy (Ottawa).

Cayden Bouxsein, 10, also reached the championship round, finishing second.

Other place-finishers for the Thundercats were third place Carter Hochstatter (9), James Irwin (11) and Jesse Lucas (13), and fourth place Max Chiado (9). Braiden Actis (9), Tucker Gualandi (12), Roman Mack (12) and Evan Turner (12).
