Romeoville Historical Society aims to raise funds for museum

The Romeoville Area Historical Society is raising funds for a museum dedicated to the village’s history.

The society’s mission is to collect, preserve and promote the history and culture of the businesses, families, organizations and schools of Romeoville and its surrounding communities. The James P. Sczepaniak Museum is located at 14 Belmont Ave. in Romeoville.

Sczepaniak was a longtime educator in the Valley View School District and a contributor to the Romeoville Area Historical Society.

The organization is raising money to complete the building of the museum and cover operating costs. It established donation levels for those interested in giving.
