Alice T. Valente

STERLING – Alice T. Valente, 94, died Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Citadel Care of Sterling.

Alice was born October 11, 1924, in Sterling, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Salinas) Valente. Alice was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling.

Family members include several nieces and nephews, Robert (Fuf) Sandoval of Chicago; Patty (Manuel) Rosas of Coleta; Louis M. Valente of Rock Falls; Rosemary (Mike) Murphy of California; Rita Valente, Molly Valente and LeAnn (Tom) Lendman of Arizona; Charles Villereal Villalobos; Sister Jan Marie; Peter Villalobos and Vicky Villalobos; one sister, Helen; and sister-in-law, Joan Valente of Rock Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling, with Reverend Jorge Bravo officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling.
