Argo honored for 40 years of service

On March 2, the Princeton Lions Club honored Lion Jim Argo (center) for 40 years of service.

Jim and his wife, Jane, lived Freeport, where Jim was a principal for the Freeport School District for 24 years and a member of the Freeport Lions Club for more than 22 years. Shortly after retirement, Jim and Jane moved to Princeton, and Jim transferred his membership to the Princeton Lions Club and became very involved with the club.

He has been treasurer for eight-plus years, president three times and co-chair of the Christmas parade for 18 years. In his spare time, he helps seniors at the senior center with their taxes, and he can also be found on the golf course after his chores are done.
