Beef Shack, a fast food chain in northern Illinois specializing in cheesy beef sandwiches, opened its fifth location at 12372 Princeton Drive in Huntley, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
A petition for the remodeling of the site had called for the construction of a drive-thru lane and associated site improvements to accommodate the restaurant within an estimated 1,750-square-foot lease space.
The chain now has five locations in Huntley, St. Charles, Elgin, DeKalb and Joliet.
Its menu, which varies by location, features beef and cheese sandwiches, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, Chicago hot dogs, Italian sausage, cheesy garlic bread and salad. The restaurant also has catering and delivery options.
