EDGAR SPRINGS, Mo. — Sheila Rae Larson, 74, of Edgar Springs, Mo., formerly of Genoa, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.
She was born June 2, 1944, in Spring Valley to Edward and Connie (Skaggs) Lenihan.
Sheila was a 1962 graduate of Princeton High School. She was a beautician for 25 years, owning her own shop in Genoa for many years. Later she worked in the DeKalb County Clerk’s office for 21 years, before retiring in 2010.
She was an avid genealogist and researched both her families and assisted other people in their research. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sheila is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert D. Larson; a daughter, Michelle (Gary) Espy; a son, Sean (Julie) Larson; a sister, Linda (Randall) Sellers; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a brother, aunts, uncles, a niece and a nephew.
Special thanks to nurses and aides in her final days at Rolla Health and Rehab.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S. Fourth St. in DeKalb. Interment of cremated remains will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
