The killers who robbed and shot a man outside the Plainfield Road Denny's last week have been tracked down and captured, police said.
Bobbie Jean Ollom, 23, of the 8100 block of Nettle Creek Road in Seneca and Joshua T. Anderson of the 10000 block of South Peoria Street in Chicago were charged with murder, armed robbery with a firearm and robbery in connection with the death of Gregory G. Brown, 36, of Crest Hill, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint said Ollom and Anderson shot Brown while stealing money from him last week.
Brown was found unresponsive in the parking lot of the Denny's near the Louis Joliet Mall shortly after 10 p.m. April 30. He suffered a single gunshot wound, authorities said. Will County Coroner's officials pronounced Brown dead about an hour and a half later.
Police released still photos and surveillance video from inside the Denny's in an attempt to identify a woman, who was last seen talking to Brown.
Joliet police later said they had successfully identified the woman in the video, and she was in custody. In the video, she can be heard saying she works as a certified nursing assistant.
Ollom attended Illinois Valley Community College to complete her CNA training, according to the Illinois Department of Health website. Her last employment verification was March 4, the site said.
Joliet police failed to confirm Monday whether or not Ollom was the woman in the video.
Will County Judge Domenica Osterberger set bond at $5 million apiece on an arrest warrant filed Saturday. The warrant was under seal until Monday morning.
Ollom and Anderson were taken into custody about noon Saturday in Burlington, Iowa, according to police records. They were arrested by the Des Moines County Sheriff's Office.
Ollom did not appear to have any previous criminal charges in Will County, but did face several traffic and misdemeanor drug charges in LaSalle County, according to court records.
Anderson appeared to have no previous criminal cases in Will County.
Brown's fiancee, Ashley Graefen, said she knew nothing about the arrests of Ollom and Anderson until she was contacted by The Herald-News. She said she had no comment about the arrests.
Ollom and Anderson appeared in Des Moines County court Sunday and were appointed public defenders. They also waived extradition.
