Rose Niewinski

MARK — Rose Marie Niewinski, 89, of Mark passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in her home.

Rose was born July 18, 1929, in Mark to Peter and Mary (Riva) Ellena. She married Francis J. Niewinski Sr. July 18, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville.

She graduated from Hopkins High School and worked at Westclox in Peru. Her biggest joy in life was being a grandmother and a mother.

Survivors include her husband, Francis J. Niewinski Sr. of Mark; one son, Frank (Julie) Niewinski of Mark; one daughter, Linda (Bernard Mertes) Beattie of Mark; five grandchildren, Stephen Beattie, Courtney Obermiller, Michael Beattie, Taylor Niewinski and Alex Niewinski; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Theresa Ellena, Josephine Mennie and Margaret Skutt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville with Father Patrick DeMeulemeester officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the church.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Beattie, Courtney Obermiller, Michael Beattie, Taylor Niewinski, Alex Niewinski, Frank Niewinski and Mike Obermiller.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to IVAR.
