Patrick Flaherty

LADD — Patrick Flaherty, 60, of Ladd passed away Friday morning, May 31, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born March 25, 1959, in LaSalle to Francis and Jeanne (Mauser) Flaherty. He married Edith A. Ruppert on Jan. 24, 2014, in Ottawa.

Patrick was a cabinet maker for 43 years, and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Edith of Ladd; his stepmom, Virg Radke Flaherty of Peru; his children, Mike (Rachel Sienkiewicz) Flaherty of LaSalle and Bill (Tiffany Petzel) Moore of Ladd; three grandchildren, Ashli, William and Matthew; one brother, John (Susan) Flaherty of Collierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary (Thomas) Blair of Urbana and Nancy (Bill) Lubera of Bartlett; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru with the Rev. Paul Carlson, pastor of St. Hyacinth’s Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in LaSalle.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the funeral home.
