Robert ‘Bob,’ ‘Big Bob’ Eugene Lally

DIXON – Robert “Bob,” “Big Bob” Eugene Lally, 65, of Dixon, passed Monday, May 27, 2019, at home in Dixon, IL. Bob worked for UPS prior to his retirement.

Bob was born April 15, 1954, in Dixon, IL, the son of Raymond and Florence (Boggild) Lally. He loved all animals and they loved him. Bob was known to have a green thumb when it came to growing plants. He enjoyed going out to eat, but most off all he loved his fried chicken. Bob was an avid Minnesota Viking’s Fan.

He is survived by his three brothers, Michael (Angie) Lally, Lawrence (Lea) Lally, and David (Mary) Lally, all of Dixon; one sister-in-law, Jeannie Surratt of Deer Grove, IL; and eight nephews and one niece.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, (R.T.) Raymond Thomas Lally; one nephew, Steven S. Commons; and his beloved dogs, Hersey, Jomaine, and Jade.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, with Father Keith Romke, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
