McHenry police have charged a second person with drug-induced homicide in connection with a Freeport woman’s 2018 death.
Heather Crimaldi, 45, died Aug. 31. Police said her brother, Christopher Crimaldi of McHenry, delivered the combination of heroin, cocaine and fentanyl that ultimately killed her.
Christopher Crimaldi was charged Oct. 3, and his case is ongoing.
McHenry police said Friday that they charged a second man for his alleged role in Heather Crimaldi’s death.
William E. Anderson, 28, of the 26000 block of West Lakeview Avenue, Ingleside, faces charges of drug-induced homicide and delivery of a controlled substance.
Anderson was charged Thursday and already was in custody at the Cook County Department of Corrections on unrelated charges, police said.
If convicted of the most serious charge, drug-induced homicide, Anderson could face up to 30 years in prison.
