Holly Club of Joliet awards gift to Will-Grundy Medical Clinic

The Will-Grundy Medical Clinic (WGMC) recently received a $15,000.00 donation from Holly Club of Joliet. Holly Club has supported the Clinic from the first day of operation 31 years ago. WGMC and Holly Club continue to share a collaborative vision of providing care to the less fortunate within the community.

“We are pleased to support the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic," Denise Bartolotta, president of Holly Club of Joliet, said in a news release from the clinic. “We were your partner on day one and we are your partner now, but most importantly, we are committed to remaining your partner in the future.

"Holly Club’s mission is to charitably address needs of the less fortunate within the local community, whether these needs be financial, physical and/or emotional in nature. In order to achieve this purpose, the women of Holly Club, along with the support of our families, friends, and network of community supporters, aspire to raise funds, distribute those funds and apply our talents where a need exists.

"We combine as one working spirit to utilize our unique gifts so we may collectively enhance the value of life for individuals and families within our community."

Shawn Marconi, executive director of Will-Grundy Medical Clinic echoed those sentiments.

“We are so grateful to Holly Club of Joliet for their years of generosity, thoughtfulness, and the tremendous contributions they have made to our community”, Marconi said in the news release. "Holly Club has truly been a partner in care since the day the clinic’s doors opened in 1988."

"Our community partners are the backbone of our operation. Their support can provide access to healthcare to those individuals who otherwise may go without. Large donations such as this will impact thousands of lives by providing healthcare and keeping our community healthy and productive."

The Will-Grundy Medical Clinic is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization that provides free medical and dental care to adults who have no health insurance or medical care entitlements and meet prescribed income guidelines.

Care is provided by physicians, dentists and other professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to the Clinic.
