PROPHETSTOWN – Charlene A. Nance, 82, of Prophetstown, IL, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Lyndon Township Cemetery in Lyndon, IL. There will be no visitation and cremation rites have been accorded. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial to Winning Wheels in Prophetstown has been established.
Charlene was born January 23, 1937, in Chicago, IL, to Charles and Margaret (Ramsdorff) Andres. She was educated in the Chicago Public Schools and later received her LPN degree from Sauk Valley Community College. Charlene married Raymond E. Nance on February 9, 1952, in Piggott, AR. He died December 19, 2014. Charlene was employed at Morrison Community Hospital as a LPN. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness in Como, IL.
Survivors include four sons, Randel, Steven, Thomas, and Mark Nance; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia (Herman) Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Andres; her mother, Margaret Andres Watson; her stepfather, Robert Watson; her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Sharlene Johnson and Victoria Poulos; two sisters, Marcia Frendel and Patsy Andres; and one brother, Charles Andres.
