Dale Carl Blair

LANARK – Dale Carl Blair, 92, of Lanark,IL, passed away on June 21, 2019.

He was born on January 24, 1927 in Shannon,IL, to Walter and Tresea (Koch) Blair. He married Nancy Nicholson on November 20, 1950 in Forreston, IL. Dale was a member of the Lanark Methodist Church, Lions Club, Moose Lodge, and Lanark Fire Dept.

Survivors include his children: Terry (Edie) Blair of Milledgeville, IL, and Lynne (Vaughn) Hudson of Thornton, CO; granddaughters: Demi (Greg) Sturtevant, Dani (Neel) Huffman; great-grandson, Briggs Sturtevant; and brothers: Jerry Blair of Lanark, IL, and Norman Blair of Le Sueur, MN.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, brothers, Donald, Walter, and Thurlow; and sisters, Dorthea Luy and Eileen Buss.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday June 27, 2019 at 11 AM, with visitation from 9 AM until time of service, at the Lanark United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jarrod Severing officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
