Former lawmaker will sign his book at Old Settlers Day

LANARK – Former state Rep. Jim Sacia, a 30-year veteran of the FBI , will be signing copies of his new book during the village’s Old Settlers Day celebration.

Sacia, who represented Illinois’ 89th District for 11 years before retiring to his farm in Pecatonica, where he’s also and owner and co-founder of Northern Illinois Tractor & Equipment, will sign copies of “Not in My Wildest Dreams: Memoirs of a Veteran FBI Special Agent,” from noon to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Lanark Public Library, 111 S. Broad St., after the parade.

The book, published by Page Publishing, is available online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble, and from the publisher at 866-315-2708.

Sacia, an Army veteran who graduated from Ranger School, obtained a commission while serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, said proceeds will be donated to help wounded veterans.
