Lanham named chief executive officer for PharmaLogics Recruiting

QUINCY, Mass. — PharmaLogics Recruiting, a global life science recruiting company, has announced the appointment of Megan Lanham as chief executive officer, effective July 1.

Lanham, who most recently served as Global Head of Business Development for PharmaLogics, succeeds Founder Megan Driscoll, who has decided to step down from her role as president and CEO.

When asked about the transition, Driscoll said, “I’m excited. This has been in the works for a while and I think it’s a great opportunity for both of us. We have been working very hard to ensure this transition is successful. I’m grateful for all the years I’ve spent leading PharmaLogics, and I’m looking forward to seeing where Megan [Lanham] takes the company from here.”

Lanham said, “I am honored to be appointed to lead PharmaLogics. For the past nine years, I have worked and contributed to the overall growth and development of the organization, and I am greatly looking forward to leading this company. My top priorities are to further service the needs of our clients and candidates, strengthen our operational and financial performance, and to continue to place top talent at life science organizations while expanding our commitment to diversity and inclusion both internally and externally.”

When asked how it feels to be appointed chief executive as an openly gay female during Pride month, Lanham responded, “This is incredibly meaningful. I have been an out and visible leader throughout my career and am excited to lead PharmaLogics at this moment in time representing the LGBTQ+ community in this way, especially for any young people who might not see a path for themselves in their career. There is a path to do whatever you aspire to do and be whoever you want to be, without hiding or compromising who you are.”

Lanham has served as a partner and Global Head of Business Development at PharmaLogics Recruiting, where she is responsible for leading all business development and sales operations efforts as well as growing global team. She is a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management’s 2020 Executive MBA program. Her expertise is in leadership development, business development, talent identification, marketing innovation and product/services strategy. Previously, Lanham was a Division I women’s basketball coach. She is married to Julia Lanham, and they have two daughters, Eva and Tessa. She has a passion for music, which has led to a healthy collection of Sonos speakers.

Founded in 2003, PharmaLogics Recruiting is the first and only company to offer innovative hiring solutions to the life science industry. PharmaLogics focuses on delivering top talent, decreasing time to fill and reducing placement costs per hire. The company's clients range in size from some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world with headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, to venture-backed start-ups in Boston, Mass.
