DAVENPORT, Iowa – On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, Jeannie Ann (Brown) Snyder, loving mother of three children passed away at the age of 73, at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House.
Jeannie was born on November 30, 1945, in Moline, IL, to Phillip and Jean (Ayers) Brown. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1964. Much of her life’s work was raising her three sons and a “crap ton” of grandchildren.
Jeannie was a social person who enjoyed drinking coffee with friends and family, while telling heartwarming stories of her children and grandchildren. She was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her father, Phillip and her mother, Jean.
She is survived by her three sons, David (Katee), Daniel (Jeannie), Dion (Amy); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers; neighbors, Kathy and Tom; cousin, Linda; and family too numerous to name, but never forgotten.
Per her request, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Candlelight Inn Restaurant, 2907 N. Locust St, Sterling, IL. Casual clothing will be a must.
