Cathie Nelson

PRINCETON — Cathie A. Nelson, 58, of Princeton died Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at her home.

She was born June 22, 1961, in Princeton, the daughter of Larry and Emma (Saal) Nelson.

Cathie graduated Princeton High School with the Class of 1979. She was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church in Princeton. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three children, Emalie (Dave) Ohlson of Wyanet, David Cotter of Princeton and Mackenzie Geldean of St. Charles, Mo.; two granddaughters, Anna June and Ruby Ohlson of Wyanet; her mother, Emma Nelson of Princeton; her father, Larry (Linda) Nelson of Prince­ton; her paternal grandmother, Marilyn Nelson of Princeton; two brothers, Donald Nelson and Robert Nelson, both of Princeton; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Wilson, and one brother in infancy, Scott Nelson; and her grandparents, Robert Nelson, and Leonard and Gladys Saal.

A memorial visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the First Lutheran Church in Princeton. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. with the Rev. William Shields officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded by the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton.
