Orvie I. Peppers

ROCK FALLS – Orvie I. Peppers, 93, formerly of Rock Falls died Sunday August 4, 2019, at Resthave Home in Morrison.

She was born on April 22, 1926, in Hackleburg, Alabama the daughter of Thomas J. and Minnie I. (Crow) Tidwell. She had worked in dietary at the former Dixon Developmental Center for 20 years and then worked for 6 years in dietary at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison. She was a member of Como Baptist Church. She had enjoyed sewing, quilting and had a great love for her family.

Survivors include two sons, Edward (Judy) Peppers of Byhalia, Mississippi and Jack (Diane) Peppers of Morrison; one daughter, Sharon (Gary) Handel of Sterling; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

We want to acknowledge our appreciation as a family to her caregivers: Jan Cady, Tonya Denning, Kathie Sliger and Lucas Peppers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ronald and Wayne Peppers; one grandson, Todd; one great-grandson, Tyler; one great-granddaughter, Jaylen; five sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 7, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave. in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating and Kenneth Peppers, assisting. Burial Oak Knoll Memorial Park.
