This September, the women’s auxiliary of AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center Joliet will be launching a new fundraiser, "Festival of Food."
The event will be held Sept. 12 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Dr., Bolingbrook. Tickets are $55.
"Festival of Food" will feature a selection of delicious appetizers, main entrees and desserts, as well as specialty drinks and craft beer from surrounding restaurants.
Additionally, an auction will include the opportunity to bid on various items, including sporting event tickets and tech gadgets.
Proceeds raised will go to support the Heart Hospital within a Hospital project at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center.
“This project will expand cardiovascular services to meet the growing need for heart care in Will County,” Gloria Dollinger, one of the event’s hosts, said in a news release.
“The proceeds will allow the medical center to remain on the forefront of cardiac care, while keeping our families and neighbors close to home for their procedures.”
Gloria Dollinger and her husband, Ed, of Joliet, are co-hosting the "Festival of Food" with Ron and Cathy Molo, also of Joliet.
The hosts guarantee something for everyone’s taste, with the selections being served from restaurants from the surrounding community, including Naperville, Oakbrook, Bolingbrook and Plainfield.
The event will be co-chaired by Pam Bowden, the auxiliary’s current president, of Joliet, and Dorothy Stanfield of Plainfield, the auxiliary’s past president.
“The AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center Women’s Auxiliary has been giving back through service and fundraising for more than 60 years,” Stanfield said in a news release.
“Auxiliary members have raised more than $2 million through various fundraising initiatives supporting programs and capital projects for the medical center.”
