CLINTON, Iowa – William G. “Bill” Miller, age 89, of Clinton passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Alverno.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill’s grandchildren.
Bill was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 12, 1930, the son of William G. and Clara Mae (Reiling) Miller. He attended St. Mary High School prior to serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Vera Rittmer on November 2, 1957, in Clinton. Vera passed away on October 20, 2015. Bill was employed at E.I. DuPont for 32 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish.
Bill is survived by three children, Steven (Susan) Miller of Davenport, Sandra (Martin) Krogman of Clinton and Debra (Michael) Sigel of Tampico, IL; eight grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Craig Miller, Stephanie (Troy) Migawa, Andrew Krogman, Kelli (Ben) Ruther and Josh, Kevin and Kyle Sigel; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marguerite Stoecken.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three sisters, Isabel Bushy, Marilyn White and Alice Ritchie; and a nephew, John White.
