Back to class: New school year opens at Plano Middle School

Balloons decorated every entryway to Plano Middle School, Wednesday morning, Aug. 14 to welcome students and teachers back for the 2019-2020 school year.

While some students partook in the breakfast offered by the school, some made their way to their lockers. Teachers helped students find and open their lockers or locate their schedule, before they made their way to their advisory periods to start the school day. Several advisory classes also allowed students the chance to practice with their lockers to start the day off.

Plano School District 88 will gather together to celebrate the start of the 2019-2020 school year, at the annual Back to School Bash, from 4 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 23, at Plano High School's Reaper Stadium.
