Valley View School District seeks community input on superintendent search

The Valley View School District 365U Board will host engagement sessions for community members to provide their input on the search for a new superintendent.

The district is searching for a superintendent to succeed James Mitchem, who is retiring June 30.

The Aug. 27 sessions at the Valley View Administration Center, located at 801 W. Normantown Road in Romeoville, are:

• High school, STEP and middle school administration at 1:15 p.m.

• Pre-K and elementary school administration and administration center staff at
2 p.m.

• High school and STEP staff at 2:45 p.m.

• Middle school staff at 3:45 p.m.

• Pre-K and elementary school staff and facilities operations staff at 3:45 p.m.

• Staff association leaders and PTO presidents at 4:15 p.m.

• Parents, community members, organizations and businesses at 5:15 p.m.
