Oswego High School students and staff members practiced a lockdown drill at the school on Route 71 in Oswego Wednesday morning, Aug. 21.
In an email to OHS parents, Bill Nunamaker, assistant principal for operations and activities at OHS, said the drill was conducted in accordance with ALICE (Alert-Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuate) procedures.
"The drill lasted approximately 7 minutes and included opportunities to lockdown and barricade classrooms followed by opportunities to evacuate as well. I'm happy to say that our staff and students did very well with their response to the drill," Nunamaker said.
