MORRIS — David Einhaus ran away from the pack Friday night and picked up the win in the 30-lap Late Model feature race, finishing 2.522 seconds ahead of runner-up Anthony Danta. Eddie Hoffman finished third in the race, followed by Mike White, Billy Hulbert, Dean Patterson, Clay Curts, Nathan Kelly, Dan Odell, and Jake Weinrech.
The 25-lap Mid-American feature was the closest of the night, as four drivers finished within a second of each other. John Ventrello led the quartet and got the victory, crossing the finish line .206 seconds ahead of Aaron Shelton, .397 ahead of Kevin Murphy and .715 ahead of Chad Proctor. The quartet was followed by Cory Clougherty, Austin Blackwell, Trieten Batson, Vinnie Kuebles, Luke Baldwin, and Ted Dianjikes.
In the 25-lap Street Stock feature, Eddie Ligue cruised to a 1.709-second win over John Senerchia, who was followed by Tim Stewart, Randy Weese, Scott Gardner, Cheryl Hryn, Craig Matteson, Michael Tobuch, Jr., Darrell Gay, and Frank Flory, Jr.
Matt Chester claimed the checkered flag in the 20-lap 4-Cylinder feature race, followed by Alex Treptow, Kristi Odom, Katie Hocking, Zach Orts, Scott Ingram, Jeremiah Senko, Danielle Dobczyk, John Starek, and Matt Clemens.

Minooka 6, Bolingbrook 1: In singles action, Minooka swept Bolingbrook, as Annabelle Siegel defeated Lauren Mirocha, 6-1, 6-0; Isabelle Figarelli bet Tatiana Overton, 6-1, 6-4, and Sara Schofield defeated Charlette Prince, 6-1, 6-1. In doubles play, Minooka's McKenna O'Donnell and Marlo Scholtes defeated Morgan Phillips and Ara Picistanzo, 6-0, 6-0; Bolingbrook's Phebe Wilson and Marissa Barauskas defeated Hannah Grace Marti and Meriana Duarte, 6-0, 6-2; Minooka's Alaina Dorman and Kaleigh Serra defeated Brooklyn Atkinson and Sarah Nickel, 6-1, 6-0, and Minooka's Paola Garcia and Emma Kurtz beat Blessing Agyare and Cana Phillips, 6-0, 6-2.

Pontiac 166, Coal City 182: Cade Mueller of Coal City was the match medalist with a round of 38. Other Coaler golfers included Tyler Johnson (44), Cam Lander (48), and Zach Gagliardo (52).
Newark 172, Westmont 182: Connor Baker of Newark shot a 2-under par 34 at Prairie Lakes to lead the Norsemen. Other scores for Neark included Tanner Kunkel (44), Dylan Cartwright (46) and Cam Figgins (48).
Coal City 206, Lisle 226: Cade Mueller led the Coalers to the Illinois Central Eight win with a round of 46 at Cinder Ridge. Other Coaler scorers included Tyler Johnson (48), Cam Lander (55) and Zach Gagliardo (57).
Roger Keller Classic: Newark inished fifth out of 10 teams at Edgebrook in Sandwich. Connor Baker and Tanner Kunkel finished in ninth place as a pair in the modified Ryder Cup format with a score of 80. Dylan Cartwright and Cam Figgins shot 95 and Porter Arneson and Jack Rogers shot 102.
GRADE SCHOOL BASEBALL
Coal City 15, Reed-Custer 1: Gavin Rau was 2 for 2 with a double to help power the offense for Coal City, while Cade Bauldaf was 2 for 2 with an RBI. Tanner Wallace (2 RBIs) and Wyatt Wickiser (RBI) each had two hits, while Lucas Nolan hit a home run and had two RBIs. Danny Olson, Joe Watson and Wickiser combined on the mound.
Coal City 13, Wilmington 4: Dan Olson went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Warriors (3-1), while Luke Nolan (2 RBIs) and Gavin Rau (RBI) each had a hit. Wyatt Wickiser, Austin Davy, Cade Bauldaf and Joe Watson all saw time on the mound.
Manhattan 7, Coal City 3: Wyatt Wickiser was 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs for Coal City (3-2), while Lucas Nolan doubled. Owen Hren suffered the loss.
Minooka 'B' 7-3, BUGC Liberty 5-4: In the opener, Nolan Simios had two hits, including a double, for Minooka, while Jordan Freeman also had two hits. C.J. Deckinga, Carter Lennington, Rhett Harris, Darius Hampton and Michael Kuchar pitched the win. In Game 2, Zach Pomatto and Jason Duy had two hits each for Minooka, while Mason Lee and Ty Couch pitched well in the loss.
Minooka 'B' 10, Wilmington 1: Brayden Zillis and Carter Lennington combined on the mound for the win. Preston Coleman had two hits and C.J. Deckinga had three hits. Each had a double, as did Mason Lee.
GRADE SCHOOL SOFTBALL
Mazon-Verona-Kinsman 4, Morris Grade School 2: The Braves had just two hits on the night, singles by MaKanna Boyle and Sydney Walker.
Morris Grade School 16, Seneca 10; A five-run third inning game the Braves the lead for good. In the inning, Brooklyn Nigro singled scoring one run and Adrianna Carreno grounded out, scoring two runs. They continued by tallying five runs in the fourth, as Brooke Thorson, Addy Hackett and Kaylee Maddox all contributed with RBIs. Mylie Hughes got the win for the Braves, allowing no hits and striking out seven over four innings in relief of Carreno, who went two innings and allowed a hit and struck out one.
