Herald-News sportswriter Curt Herron talked with him.
Herron: What do like most about your team?
Jezik: I like our chemistry. We have a lot of seniors, juniors and sophomores so we have a wide variety of players but everyone just works good together.
Herron: What do like most about competing for Coal City?
Jezik: I love representing Coal City. I'm blessed to be at such a nice school whether its the academics or sports. Also, to be in our football program, which has been good for so long.
Herron: What do you like most about playing football?
Jezik: I love the physicality. You have a chance to do a lot of things on offense, defense and special teams. And you have to work with your team while also doing your own job.
Herron: What's your favorite class?
Jezik: Residential DIY is a hands-on kind of class and I like those.
Herron: What do you want to do in the future?
Jezik: I have some choices with wrestling which I'm lucky to have and I'm doing pretty good with football. I want to play sports somewhere and major in some type of engineering.
Herron: What's your favorite TV show?
Jezik: Criminal Minds.
Herron: What's your favorite movie?
Jezik: Any movie with Kevin Hart in it.
Herron: What's your favorite music?
Jezik: I listen to a variety, I like it all.
Herron: What do you like to do in your free time?
Jezik: I'm always trying to stay active.
Herron: What's your favorite place you've visited?
Jezik: Tennessee.
Herron: What's your favorite food and place to eat?
Jezik: Steak. And I love Subway.
Herron: Whose your favorite sports teams and athletes?
Jezik: The Bears and Cubs. Walter Payton and Tom Brady.
Herron: Do you have any pets?
Jezik: I have a Lab named Vador.
