Ron and Carole Neitzel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on September 20, 2019. Ron and the former Carole Grau were married on September 20, 1969 at Methodist Church in Flanagan, Illinois. Rev. James Thompson officiated. In attendance at the ceremony were Best Man Alan Neitzel, the late Terry Lowns, and Gary Grau, Matron of Honor Karen Stoller, the late Janice McClain and Lura Gilkerson.
The couple’s parents were the late Ross and Darlene Neitzel of Streator and the late William and Helen Grau of Flanagan.
Ron and Carole have three sons. Living in Iowa is Brian (Amber) Neitzel, Paul (Cheryl) Neitzel of Arizona, and Eric Neitzel of Streator. They are the grandparents of six grandchildren Devin, Dylan, Serena, Makayla, Zachary, and Morgan Neitzel. Ron is retired from Verizon Telephone Company.
