District 308 PRIDE recognition winners for September

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 announced the 2019-20 September winners of the PRIDE (Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence) Recognition Program on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Board of Education meeting.

“We are honored to recognize our teachers and our employees for all they do on a daily basis for the success of our students,” said Dr. John Sparlin, superintendent of schools. “The board and I appreciate all that these individuals do to not only go above and beyond for our students and our schools but also for their ability to reflect the true meaning of service.”

This year, the PRIDE program will recognize more teachers and employees from all schools and departments for their great work. The winners for the month of September 2019 are:

Allied First Bank - Teachers of the Month: Fox Chase Elementary--Julie Kreitzer, first grade; Sharon Simon, SpEd (ISP); Lakewood Creek Elementary--Annie Lamb, four grade; Kaitlin Boyd, second grade; Thompson Junior High--Danielle Schikora, math teacher; Mary Engfer, Language Arts.

Huntington Learning Center - Employees of the Month: Fox Chase Elementary--Kim Adorjan, principal's secretary; Lakewood Creek Elementary--Kelley Budd, school principal; Thompson Junior High--Lorraine Zwiezen, school secretary.

The winners each received recognition and prizes from various District Partner sponsors including Allied First Bank, Hunting Learning Center, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Costco and Kumon of Oswego.
