Victor L. Jomant

STERLING – Victor L. Jomant, age 62, of Sterling, died Monday, September 30, 2019, at his home.

Victor was born on September 10, 1957, in Sterling. He was the son of Joe and Patricia (Steltzer) Rodriguez. Victor married Nikki Walrath on August 1, 2003, in Rock Falls. He worked for Clinton Engineering for 16 years. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Nikki; one son, Brock Jomant (Kassandra Snowden) of Harmon; one daughter, Cassie Jomant of Morrison; one step-son, Justin (Becky) Haag; two step-daughters, Sara Williams of Sterling and Emily (Nic) Holldorf of Sterling; his grandchildren, Ryan Jomant, Nicolas Allison, Jase Williams and Laurel Holldorf and one expected grandson due in October; and six sisters, Sue (Hermon) Walker of Rock Falls, Shirley Farnham of Rock Falls, Claudia Bresley of Rock Falls, Mary Rodriguez of Rock Falls, Ruthie Alan of TX and Linda Cantu of TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joey Rodriguez.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, 505 1st Avenue. Funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Carlson officiating.
