Fox River Lutheran Church in Sheridan welcomes new pastor

Andrew Haines brings more than 10 years of youth leadership experience to Fox River

Fox River Lutheran Church in Sheridan has welcomed Andrew Haines as youth/ family pastor to the church.

Haines joins Fox River with more than
10 years of experience in the development and
leadership of boys and girls from all over the United States.

Haines will be responsible for developing and nurturing a spiritual maturity while raising up students as disciples of Christ.

Haines will partner with parents in an effort to encourage students to understand and live out the commandments of the Bible.

“We are thrilled to have Andrew on board at the church. He’ll bring a fresh and unique approach on local relationship development with the kids,” said Kevin Garner, senior pastor at Fox River. “We look forward to getting to know him.”

Haines designed a program
for middle school and high school-aged children, and implemented that program at the Boys and Girls Club of Rosebud located in Mission, South Dakota.

The program became the model for other sites within the organization. The BGC ministered to more than 100 kids and employed a staff of 15-20 people.

In addition to his leadership skills, Haines is well versed in communication, interpersonal development skills and music.

Haines holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical and religious studies from Trinity International University and will receive his master’s degree in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University in December.
