MVA Female Athlete of the Week: Natalie Stefanski, Joliet West

Herron: What did you like about your performance last week against Minooka?

Stefanski: I felt that we had a very close bond, and that’s really important when you’re playing a harder team. You have to come together and make sure that every aspect is there.

Herron: What do you like the most about your team?

Stefanski: I love that our bond is there, and even when someone is down we bring them up, and even in a hard match you have to play your best, and everybody on the team knows that.

Herron: What do you like the most about competing for Joliet West?

Stefanski: I love representing Joliet West. We had struggles in the past, but we’re getting better and better each year, and I love being a part of that.

Herron: What do you like most about volleyball?

Stefanski: I love that it’s a team sport. I love socializing with everybody on the team, and it’s a fun sport to play.

Herron: Who are your biggest influences?

Stefanski: My parents, Rhonda and John, and my sister and my siblings have pushed me after seeing all of their success.

Herron: What’s your favorite TV show and movie?

Stefanski: “Pretty Little Liars” and “The Lorax.”

Herron: What type of music do you like, and who’s your favorite artist?

Stefanski: I listen to everything, and I like Beyonce.

Herron: Who’s your favorite sports team and athlete?

Stefanski: The Blackhawks. And Patrick Kane.

Herron: What’s your favorite class in school?

Stefanski: I like science classes.

Herron: What do you want to do in the future?

Stefanski: Probably something in the medical field.

Herron: What’s your favorite place that you’ve visited, and where would like to go?

Stefanski: Florida. I would love to go to Canada.

Herron: What’s your favorite food and place to eat?

Stefanski: I like steak. And LongHorn Steakhouse.

Herron: Do you have any pets?

Stefanski: I have a German shepherd and border collie mix named Pippa.
