James W. Anning

ROCK FALLS – James W. Anning, age 61, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his home after a courageous battle with throat cancer.

James was born July 8, 1958, in Sterling the son of Joseph and Evelyn (Loughe) Anning. He was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire for many years and later retired from Sterling Schools in 2018 after 12 years of employment.

He is survived by his dad, Joseph H. (Loreta) Anning of Rock Falls; brother, John M. (Karen) Anning of Dixon; sister, Julie M. Anning of Fla.; son, Drake James Anning of Rock Falls; daughter, Heather (Terry Cushing) Anning of Rock Falls; and granddaughter, Haley Anning of Rock Falls.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. A memorial service will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Russo of St. Andrew Catholic Church officiating.
