Annette M. Peterson

DIXON – Annette M. Peterson, 82, of Dixon, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Heritage Square in Dixon.

She worked as a legal secretary for The Trimble Law Office of Princeton and Pignatelli & Associate of Rock Falls.

Annette was born, June 7, 1937, in Princeton, the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Johnson) Norene. She married Leo Peterson on May 25, 1957, in Princeton. Annette was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church in Princeton growing up, and was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon. She enjoyed gardening, photography, antiquing and most of all spending time with family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Leo Peterson; two daughters, Sara (Ricky) Teague of Providence, KY, Kristi Crochet of Clay, Ky; four grandchildren, Samantha (Jeremy Adams) Peterson of Madisonville, Ky, Tabetha (Andrew) Harris of Madisonville, KY, Nicholas Crochet of Louisville, KY, Jessica Crochet of Madisonville, KY; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris (Robert) Walton of Delphi, IN; one brother-in-law, Joe (Patricia) Peterson of La Moille; and many nieces and nephews.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Bradley Melvin Peterson; and three sisters, Fern Wingo, Marian Sneed and Ruth Edlefson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon with the Rev. Joseph O’Donnell, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton.

Memorials may be directed to American Juvenile Diabetes Association or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon.
